One of the best vacation "unlocks" of my life happened a few years ago when my soul sister and trusted travel agent (the amazing Jenn!) talked us into taking a Virgin Voyage cruise.

“On Bimini, I transform… floating on my back, soaking up the island vibes, relaxed like I almost never am in my natural state.”

We had such a blast on that cruise that we ended up booking two more Virgin Voyages *that same year*, and we are looking forward to our 7th cruise with Virgin next year.

We love Virgin for the chill vibe, the friendly crew, the events, the trivia, the karaoke, the food, the choice of restaurants, the drinks, the spa, the spacious room, and the famous red hammock on the balconies of Sea Terrace rooms.

There are so many exceptional things about Virgin Voyages; the party is definitely on the ship. But one of the most special parts of a Virgin Voyage in the Caribbean is a stop at Bimini in the Bahamas, where Virgin has a private beach club.

When I'm on Bimini, I transform. Normally I could probably be described as a high-speed, chronically-stressed "business person" who doesn't particularly like the water. On Bimini, though, I go into slow mo, walk out onto the pristine white sand beach into the warm, crystal blue water until I'm floating on my back and soaking up the island vibes, relaxed like I almost never am in my natural state.

And after the moment of zen, there's a fantastic pool party going on at the beach club, with inflatable pool animals, frozen drinks flowing, amazing Carribean food, and great music.

A complimentary shuttle takes you from the ship to the beach club, with a stop at a casino, shops, and a place where you can rent a golf cart and explore the island. The whole golf cart experience had us smiling from ear-to-ear (pictured), grateful for the island's hospitality and charm.

Any Virgin Voyage is sure to be amazing. And if it goes to Bimini, that's the cherry on top.
